Having originally qualified to practice Law in the United Kingdom, Julian began his legal career in the head office of an international commercial law firm based in London, England. During his time with the London law firm, he advised on project finance transactions involving the construction of off shore oil platforms, public infrastructure projects, and municipal construction projects. In addition to his core finance experience, Julian also advised on pan-European projects involving both conventional and alternative energy to corporate clients.
His extensive Finance background is what drove his desire to represent consumers and closely held corporations in Chapters 7, 11, and 13 Bankruptcy. He is admitted in the Southern, Central, and Northern Federal Districts of California.
After leaving the United Kingdom, Julian completed his second LL.M. degree in the United States and immediately returned to the world of finance and bankruptcy working with an asset finance group at the world’s second largest international law firm.
Julian’s current practice focuses principally on consumer and closely held corporation bankruptcy work including both Chapter 7, 11 and Chapter 13 filings.
While leveraging his extensive finance experience, Julian advises both small businesses and consumers with respect to U.S. Bankruptcy law. Julian has successfully navigated hundreds of of such clients through the Bankruptcy process. He dedicates a large part of this practice to time spent with clients (both commercial and consumer) to rebuild their finances and set them on the path to recovery. In his view, his role as legal counsel does not end with the abdication of debt, but rather this is where it begins. He sees the relationships that he builds with his clients as an opportunity to help them recover and has taken many small business owners through either chapter 11 or chapter 7, and then assisted them with new incorporation, the procurement of financing and negotiating supplier and end user contracting.
He is dedicated to the San Diego community and sees his role as a facilitator of rebuilding the wealth and business of his clients in the current economic climate. He also dedicates both time and money to local organizations such as the North County Coastal Humane Society, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training and Children in Need.
