Three Part Focus.
- The Client’s Goals
- How can we help the client to achieve these goals
- How can we minimize the risks associated with the business strategy to maximize the client’s success and minimize exposure.
The Lawyers Role Does not End with the Law.
It often arises in our practice that our clients depend on us for advice and counsel on new business ideas and strategies. More than legal advisors, we are business counselors. Too often clients have questions for their attorney’s that the attorney declines to answer as they are business decisions as opposed to legal decisions. We at MLG understand and appreciate our role as business counselors and never isolate our advice to strictly legal counsel.
Our focus is on a team approach to solving and resolving your maters.
While at times our practice expertise is called upon in isolation, many of the disciplines overlap and we ensure that our attorneys have a good degree of experience in virtually all transactions areas. Such is helpful in placing a ceiling on transaction costs, and also for client convenience. It is far less expensive to deal with one singular point of contact and not having to cover the cost of attorney to attorney time.
Two Heads are better than one. And Three Heads are invincible.
Our collaborative work environment has evolved to the point that while attorneys without expertise in a given area can be called upon to advise on such matters, they have a friendly relationship with attorneys within the firm that do, and cooperation in this regard never results in duplicate billings.
Sound Advice Based on a History of a Solid Relationship..
As well, we work with our clients to help them branch into new areas such that they can expand their business into uncharted territory with confidence relying on our knowledge and experience. Or view is and always has been, that as our clients expand their business, it expands ours and we enjoy the opportunity to Grow with them.
Positively Engaged is not just about how we refer to our interactions and service to clients. It also describes our commitment to give back to the San Diego community.
We make a serious commitment to charitable activities in and around San Diego County. Our contribution ranges from participation the the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training to financial and time support to the local humane society for the rescue of abandoned dogs and cats. In 2009 alone, we were proud to dedicate more than 300 hours of pro bono and personal time to worthy causes and in aid of local people in need.
Along with our commitment to helping those in need, we have also pledged a firm commitment to the environment. Through the use of modern technology we have reduced the paper use in the office to but a fraction of what it was two years ago. We are always looking for new ways to improve our environmental efforts and welcome suggestions from our clients and neighbors as to how we can do more. At present the firm is looking to raise local awareness on issues regarding underprivileged children in our local community.
It has long been understood by the principals of the firm that when the community does better, we do better. As well, that well done is always better than well said. That in mind, we invite solicitations from charitable organizations that have a need we can help to fulfill.
